Training for Ministers to the Bereaved

Current Training Opportunities

Why Train?

  • Helps to promote an awareness of grief and the needs of grieving people
  • Helps to prepare comforters with the tools and education needed to be present to the bereaved
  • Helps to develop parish-based comfort programs tailored to local needs and to use the gifts and talents of parish staff and members
  • Helps to support on-going parish grief care programs through continuing education and expert resources
  • Helps to care for grieving people by sponsoring support groups and individual grief counseling
  • Helps to assist participants of this intensive training course to become skilled in training ministers of consolation in their local communities
  • Helps to present to participants a "how-to" training manual at the end of the Conference
