The Ministry of Consolation training program is an interactive, dynamic and specialized, day-and-a-half, faith-based educational and spiritual learning opportunity. At these sessions you will learn about the Order of Christian Funerals, the grief process, listening skills, cultural differences in bereavement, taking care of yourself as minister, how to start your parish or diocesan program and how to begin a grief support group. Participants will receive a certificate of completion, the official NCMB Minister of Consolation Pin and be commissioned into this ministry.

Who Should Attend:
Parish program directors, chaplains, clergy, cemeterians, cemetery staff, pastoral ministers, befrienders, parish bereavement volunteers, funeral directors, nurses, social workers, parish nurses, counselors, other bereavement professionals and the bereaved.
